Set up email account in outlook 2013 but have an empty inbox?

1. On the email account that is set up in outlook 2013, right click on it and you should see a menu appear.

2. Once you have this menu select from the list IMAP Folders.

3. This will bring you to the IMAP folders options, if you have no folders on your account then Query all folders and this will show you your folders that you can subscribe or unsubscribe to.
When doing this the "When displaying hierarchy in Outlook, show only subscribed folders" box should be un-checked if not already.

4. Once the above steps are done just click on apply and ok then restart Outlook, once you have restarted outlook your emails should start flowing in.....if they don't then click the send/receive tab and then the 'send/receive all' button.
